Description: 

This Abelia has red stems and gold variegation and white flowers. It has a mounded habit and blooms on new growth. Attracts hummingbirds and butterflies. Deer resistant.

History: 

Bred at Minier Nursery in France, it is a sport of A. x grandiflora 'Compacta'. Proven Winners® collection.

My Experience: 

I purchased a 1-gallon plant at Nurseries Caroliniana in August 2008 and kept it in a 3-gallon container until planting along the golf course with the other Abelias in summer 2009. It did well in the pot. Removed a couple of minor reversions in 2010.
