Description: 

Gold/yellow/green variegated leaves and red stems. Some red fall and winter color. Low mounding cultivar. Prefers moist well-drained soil but reasonable drought tolerance once established.

History: 

Discovered as a branch sport of A. x grandiflora 'Little Richard' by Randall Dale Lindsey at a nursery in Marshville, NC.

My Experience: 

I purchased a 3-gallon plant at McCorkles plant sale in September 2009 and planted it with the other Abelias by the golf course. In summer 2010 was better looking than the other variegated cultivars except Hopleys.
