Description: 

Bright yellow marginal variegation with red stems. Small white flowers. Ted Stephens suggests growing in full sun because plants in shade tend to be leggy and loose.

Ted Stephens is growing this from liners from Clark's Liner Farm in NC.

My Experience: 

I purchased a 1-gallon plant from Nurseries Caroliniana in April 2011 and planted it near the golf course, where the Abelia x grandiflora 'Hopleys' was previously. The plant was nibbled by rabbits and lost a lot of leaves in winter 2012 - then it started to flush out and was hit by a cold spell. I dug it up and potted it up to see if it would come back in the conservatory. In April 2012 I purchased a replacement from Nurseries Caroliniana.
