Description: 

Branches glabrous, small white dots on the tips, grey to grey-brown bark. Leaves have 9 to 11 loves, toothed, hair tufts in the axils, red tint to the margins, petioles to 2" long. Yellow autumn color.

Named for the Japanese botanist Homi Shirasawanus, 1868-1947.
