History:

Introduced by Alan Bloom of Bressingham Gardens, England. Nine seedlings were selected from a bed of 2000 in 1967. These nine were cultivated to increase stock for introduction. Named in 1972.

Probably should be Agapanthus praecox.

My Experience:

I purchased a 1-gallon plant from Nurseries Caroliniana in September 2009 and planted it in the 'Octagonal Perennial Garden'. It bloomed for the first time in July 2011. It did not bloom in summer 2012.
