Description: 

Green to yellow flower spikes in summer. Strong stems make it a tall slender species. Arrow-shaped leaves to 5" long, not fragrant. Moist, well-drained soil. Tend to be short-lived.

History: 

Published in Revis. Gen. Pl. 2: 511 in 1891.

Basionym Hyssopus nepetoides Lin.

Native to eastern Canada and eastern and central US.
