Description:

Small white flowers in clusters on purple stems. Leaves are tinted chocolate. Well-drained soil.

History:

Sold as Eupatorium rugosum in the trade.

Introduced by Mt. Cuba Center, Greenville, Delaware.

My Experience:

I purchased a 1-gallon plant in September from Evergreen and planted it in the 'Berm On the Border'. It flopped after planting. It started to bloom in later September. It seemed to struggle. In spring 2012 it came back strongly and looked very pretty.
