Description: 

Outer edges of leaves appear ruffled. Spiny leaves and trunk. Creamy flowers and ornamental red fruit. Single trunk.

History: 

Native to Trinidad and Tobago, Venezuela, Brazil, Bolivia, Columbia and Peru.

Published in Samml. Deutsch. Abh. Königl. Akad. Wiss. Berlin. 1803: 251 in 1806.

Heterotypic synonym of Aiphanes horrida (Jacq.) Burret.

My Experience: 

Saw at Callaway. Spines and sharp edges so not good for moving around.
