Description: 

Foliage in clusters of 5 leaflets, hence the name. Small purple-brown fragrant flowers in April. Flowers on old growth so prune after flowering. Twining vine. Can be very aggressive.

'Variegata' - dark green leaves with irregular white speckles

History: 

Native to China, Korea and Japan.
