Common Name: Lady's Mantle

Family: Rosaceae

Published in: Sp. Pl. 1: 123. 1753.

Other: Low growing, broad grey-green pleated leaves, greenish yellow flowers in sprays. Flowers don't produce fertile pollen so they reproduce asexually - apomictically - which means there are lots of species described and it is impossible to tell them apart for most people. Lectotype A. vulgaris L. (Rydberg in N. Amer. Fl. 22: 377. 1908.)
