Description: 

Rhizomatous, bulbous perennial. Thin, grass-like leaves and red-purple flowers in round clusters in late summer to autumn. Deer and rabbit resistant. Well-drained soil.

My Experience: 

I purchased a 3" pot from Nurseries Caroliniana in July 2012 and planted it in the One Of Everything garden. It bloomed in October.
