Description: 

White to silver-green leaves, deeply divided. Inconspicuous yellow flowers in late spring. Needs well-drained soil and deep watering.

History: 

Published in Sp. Pl., ed. 2 2: 1188 in 1763. Native to northern Africa, Europe, India, temperate Asia. Basionym of Absinthium arborescens Vaill.

Probably parent of Artemisia x 'Powis Castle'.
