My Experience:

I purchased a 2" plant from Santa Rosa in April 2011 and planted it along the property line by the conservatory. It was too much in the shadow of Arundo donax 'Peppermint Stick' so I moved it in early summer to the 'One Of Everything' garden. In 2012 it grew much taller but has not spread as much as the 'Peppermint Stick'. We had a lot of rain in 2013 and it did much better.
