Needs a moist or low area. Milky sap when stems are cut. Pale pink flowers in late spring to summer on umbel-shaped inflorescences with dark red buds. Attractive to butterflies (Oudolf).

I purchased a 4" pot from Santa Rosa in April 2011 and planted it near the conservatory.
