Description: 

Sometimes a tree, others a spreading shrub. Leaves coarsely serrated, linear, alternate. Green flower buds becoming yellow as the inflorescences open, cylindrical spikes. Well drained soil.

History: 

Published in Trans. Linn. Soc. London 10(1): 209 in 1810.

Synonyms Banksia serratifolia Salisb., Banksia elatior R.Br.

Native to Queensland and New South Wales, Australia.
