Description: 

Matchstick because the inflorescences resemble unlit matches when they are in bud, with multiple pink "sticks" with yellow round tips. Wedge-shaped leaves to 1.5" long, prickly, resembling holly leaves.

History: 

Published in Nuytsia 3(3): 457 in 1981.

Native to south Western Australia.

"cuneatus" = wedge-shaped referring to the leaves
