Description: 

Dark green stems and greyish green leaves. Light purple flower spikes in April to June which apparently last several weeks. Well-drained soil. Rabbit resistant.

History: 

Introduced in 1996 by Rob Gardner (former North Carolina Botanical Garden Curator). A hybrid between Baptisia alba and Baptisia minor (Avent) or Baptisia australis (which may be the same plant as B. minor anyway!
