Description: 

Flowers in abundance from May until frost. Flowers are deep pink on top and pale pink below. It reproduces true to type from axillary bulbs. Best in part sun and well-drained soil.

History: 

Selection made from seed collected in Japan in 1997 by Dan Hinkley of Heronswood Nursery.

My Experience: 

I purchased a 1-gallon plant at Nurseries Caroliniana in May 2012 and planted it in the courtyard. It bloomed in the summer and grew quite well. It is in shade until late afternoon in summer. In spring 2013 it started to spread and soon covered an area 18" in diameter.
