My Experience:

I purchased a 1-gallon plant in June 2010 and planted it near the bluebird house in the back. It immediately dropped leaves and exhibited signs of drought stress so I potted it up and put it in a more shady spot through the summer, watering well. I planted it again in the same place in the autumn and it seems to be getting established.
