Description: 

Arching form. Red flowers in spring. Reported to survive -9F in Raleigh, NC in 1995. Thinner leaves and less floriforous than Callistemon rigidus 'Clemson Hardy'. Well-drained soil.

Selection made by Woodlanders (Aiken, SC) from seed from Australia.

My Experience: 

I purchased a 1-gallon plant from Woodlanders in September 2009 and planted it by the pool fence and the perennial bed. It survived the first winter with little to no damage. It did not bloom much in 2010 however. In May 2012 the blooms were spectacular.
