Description: 

Large, fragrant flowers, burgundy. Large glossy leaves, vigorous growth and extended bloom season. Upright habit. Tolerates permanently damp soils. Prune in winter to control height, but note that it blooms on old wood, so can also be done after flowering.

History: 

Cross between C. chinensis) and C. occidentals.
