Description: 

Sun or afternoon shade. Orange-red flowers with yellow throat. Twining vine with aerial roots but needs support. Attractive to hummingbirds.

Cultivars: 

'Madame Galen' - introduced to cultivation in 1889, orange flowers

History: 

Cross between Campsis radicans and Campsis grandiflora. Identified at the nursery of the Tagliabue brothers in Italy. Published in J. Arnold Arbor. 13: 340 in 1932. Basionym is Tecoma tagliabuana Vis.
