Description: 

Some cultivars have exotically colored foliage which resembles bananas. Others are grown purely for the brightly colored flowers. Blooms range from white to red, pink, yellow and orange and continue throughout summer. Tolerat wet areas, although care should be taken to avoid excessive moisture in winter. After leaves are killed by frost, cut off and mulch for winter in zones 7b up. In colder zones tubers should be lifted for the winter.
