Description: 

Evergreen to zone 6. Deer resistant. Species not found in gardens. Cool season grass.

Cultivars: 

'Kaga Nishiki' (Gold Fountains) - selection from Kenji Watanabe of Gotemba Nursery, Japan, introduced by Barry Yinger. Dark green leaves with yellow margins, thin (3/16"), arching. Clumping mound to 2' wide. Prefers fertile soil, reasonably drought tolerant. Graceful appearance.
