Description: 

Require lots of moisture especially in sun. Not good for hot climates. Cool season grass.

Cultivars: 

'Aurea' ('Bowles Golden') - brightens shady areas, yellow leaves with some faint green stripes, to 30" tall and 18" wide, may look bleached in full sun.

History: 

Native to swamps and riverbanks in north and east Europe.
