Description: 

Often sold as Carex ciliatomarginata 'Treasure Island'. Green and white variegation on relatively broad, short leaves. May burn in full sun. Likes moist soil.

History: 

Patent application filed in 2004 by Hans Andrew Hansen, of Waseca, MN for Shady Oaks Nursery. Discovered as a sport of 'Island Brocade' in a tissue culture lab in Waseca.

My Experience: 

I purchased a 3" pot from Santa Rosa in June 2012 and planted it in the One Of Everything garden. It dwindled and I potted it up but it disappeared. I was surprised to see new growth in spring 2013.
