Description: 

Blue to blue-green needles. Grows only 3 to 4" a year. Mounding habit to spreading, much variation in sizes given. Some sources say will develop a central leader if staked, others give the height as only 2'. Well-drained soil.

History: 

Named for Bill Devine, a plant propagator in Maryland.

My Experience: 

I purchased a 1-gallon plant at Nurseries Caroliniana in October 2012 and planted it in the Turret Front Garden. I decided it would get too large and moved it to the new Triangle Island Garden raised bed.
