Description: 

Lavender blue button flowers to 1.25" diameter in spring to summer. Foliage has a pineapple scent. May reseed. Tender perennial.

History: 

Published in Dict. Sci. Nat., ed. 2. (F. Cuvier) 7: 384 in 1817.

Native to the Philippines, Australia, the Caribbean and South America.

My Experience: 

I was given a rooted cutting in August 2013 and planted it in the Berm On the Border. It performed well but did not survive the winter.
