Description: 

Red double flowers in early spring. Drought tolerant. Prune after flowering. Deer resistant. Attractive to bees and butterflies. Developed for the following characteristics:

A medium-sized, upright, multi-stemmed, fruitless shrub;

Large, double-flowers with scarlet-red petals; and

Thornless stems.

History: 

Developed through a breeding program at North Carolina State University, cross between 'Spitfire' and 'Dragons Blood'. Patent application filed in 2009.
