My Experience:

I purchased a 3-gallon plant at Lowes in September 2009 and planted it in the perennial bed. Not much has happened but I would not have expected much in 1 year. It was suffering somewhat from the heat and dryness in the perennial bed, although not as much as the other conifers I had there, so I moved it to the Turret Front Garden in spring 2012.
