Description: 

Not particularly attractive, mulit-stemmed leggy form. Very fragrant flowers in winter to early spring, pale translucent petals with a purple center. Blooms on old growth. Leaves opposite, dark green, pointed oval to 6" long. Prune after flowering to rejuvenate. Needs good drainage.

Cultivars: 

'Grandiflorus' - larger flowers with red staining

Native to China.
