Description: 

Dark leaves, almost black, with white to light green veins. New leaves look velvety. Leafs out early in spring.

History: 

Plant Delights say that they got several plants as C. antiquorum from India and named this clone 'Coal Miner'.

My Experience: 

I purchased a 4" pot at Plant Delights in June 2011 and planted it at the end of the pool. It lost leaves at first but soon came back and is now growing well. In spring 2013 I put another piece in the Bluebird Perennials Garden.
