Description: 

White nodding bell-shaped flowers in early spring, fragrant. Leaves large, pointed oval, shiny green. Thin if flowers sparse. Good cut flowers.

Published in Sp. Pl. 1: 314 in 1753.

Native to temperate Asia including Russia, Japan, China and Korea, Europe, Myanmar and the eastern US.

My Experience: 

I purchased 5 pips from Brent & Beckys in April 2014 and planted 3 in the Turret Front Garden and 2 in the Courtyard.
