Description: 

Thin, thread-like leaves and yellow flowers in summer to autumn. Spreads slowly by rhizomes. Abundant flowers from early summer through autumn. Drought tolerant. Tends to live longer than Coreopsis grandiflora. Well-drained soil.

Cultivars: 

'Zagreb' considered to be one of the toughest and best-performing.

History: 

Published in SP. Pl. 2: 907 in 1753.

Native to West Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Maryland, Georgia, Mississippi and Virginia.
