Description: 

Dense spreading multi-stemmed. Lightly fragrant yellow flowers in spring, in drooping clusters. Bright green leaves with sunken veins. Buds susceptible to early frost. Not unamended heavy clay.

History: 

Native to Japan and Taiwan.

Published in Fl. Jap. (Siebold) 1: 48 in 1838.

'Paucilfora' = sparse flowers referring to the small number of flowers in each cluster - 2 to 5.
