Slightly contorted pyramidal to upright habit. Light green pointed foliage which seems to be a minature version of the foliage on the species. Reversions, which are much faster growing and more leggy, should be removed.

My Experience:

I purchased a 1-gallon plant from Nurseries Caroliniana in October 2009 and planted it in the raised perennial bed. It has grown a little and fared well until winter 2010 when it turned completely bronze to brown. Greened up and grew (some reversion which I cut out) in 2011. I cut out the brown dead parts in September 2011.
