Description:

Conical, upright form. Smaller than the species. Gold color foliage best in full sun. Well-drained soil.

History:

Originated as a branch sport of 'Leighton Green' in Boskoop, Netherlands (Dirr). Released in the Netherlands in 1986 by A. Vergeer.

My Experience:

I purchased a 1-gallon plant at Nurseries Caroliniana in August 2011 and planted it in the berm. Noted some browning in late September 2011 which may have been due to not getting sufficient moisture. I corrected the sprinkler pattern and it is doing fine, despite some animal (deer?) knocking leaves off in early December.
