Description: 

From Bot. Reg. Ambigua is a hardy plant, and will grow almost anywhere without care. Propagated by seed and by parting the root. Blooms in July and August.

Rabbit resistant.

History: 

Published in Prodr. Stirp. Gott. 62 in 1770.

Synonym of Digitalis grandiflora Mill.

Also published in Bot. Reg. 1: 64 in 1815.

From Bot. Reg. Native of the more southern parts of Europe, especially of Germany, chiefly affecting mountainous situations.
