Description: 

Clumping perennial with basal evergreen foliage and soft yellow flowers, tubular, on tall spikes in spring. Removing flowers after bloom encourages a second bloom but self-seeds if flowers left on. Prefers well-drained soil with consistent moisture and rich, not wet in winter. Longest-lived of the genus. Rabbit resistant.

Native to Turkey, Russia and much of Europe.

Synonym is Digitalis ambigua Murray.
