Description: 

Blue green foliage, leaves to 3.5" long and 0.75" wide. Flowers are red in clusters along the stems in winter, not individually significant but a good splash of color at that time of year. Horizontally layered, spreading habit, forming a dense mound in full sun, more open in shade.

History: 

Native to China, Japan, Korea and Taiwan.

My Experience: 

I purchased a 1-gallon plant from Nurseries Caroliniana in August 2009 and planted it in the front garden. It bloomed in winter 2009 and has grown steadily. In October 2011 I moved it to the back by the pool fence.
