Description: 

From Bot. Reg. ...not exceeded two feet; with branches in two distinct whorls, converging into a kind of corymb. Its slender capillary foliage standing on narrow membraneous petioles, is set simultaneously into a very peculiar vibratory motion by the slightest impulse. The plant flowers in all seasons of the year.

History: 

Introduced from the Cape of Good Hope by Mr. William Rollisson in 1800.

Published in Heathery 1: 22 in 1804.
