Euplassa pinnata (Lam.) ex I.M.Johnst.

Family: Proteaceae

Genus: Euplassa

This genus differs from every other of the Order yet discovered in its Nectarium, which resembles that of many Ericas, and still more in habit. In such as we hitherto know with compound leaves, a leaflet or segment always terminates the petiole; but in this they are regularly placed in opposite pairs, the petiole ending in a small process, precisely as in many Leguminosae. (Cult. Prot. - E. meridionalis).

Published in Contr. Gray Herb. 73: 42 in 1924.

Basionym Roupala pinnata Lam.

Synonym Euplassa meridionalis Salisb. ex Knight.
