Description: 

Petals are red at the base with bright yellow tips. Blooms from spring to autumn, if deadheaded. Deer resistant.

History: 

Bred and introduced by S&G Flowers. Often listed as a cultivar of Gaillardia aristata but more likely Gaillardia x grandiflora.

My Experience: 

I purchased a 1-gallon plant in September 2010 from Laymans and planted it in the Berm On the Border. It bloomed consistently until cold weather and started again in late April. It came back for several seasons but then only seedlings reappeared and they were a mix of all sorts.
