Description: 

From Bot. Repos. Geranium with leaves tapering to the point, winged in lobes and rather fleshy, the segments unequally toothed; foot-stalks generally four flowers; the flowers have five fertile tips ; petals equal and purple.

History: 

Published in Fl. Atlant. 2: 111 in 1788.

Synonym of Erodium crassifolium L'Hér. ex Aiton

Native to Cyprus and introduced to Britain in 1788 by Dr. Sibthorpe.
