Gladiolus with lance-shaped leaves, nerved and smooth; flowerstem mostly three-flowered, longer than the leaves ; blossom rather bell-shaped, of a pale purple, the segments nearly equal, with the summits two-cleft. (Bot. Repos.)

History: 

Published in Bot. Repos. 3: 188 in 1801.

Synonym of Gladiolus carneus D.Delaroche.
