Description: 

Yellow flowers and black seeds.

Grows best in full sun. Needs high humidity and rainfall.

From Bot. Reg. The plant with us is perennial, and grows to the height of 7-8 feet; the stem dying down every year, after producing seed, if kept constantly in the bark-bed of the hothouse.
