Description: 

Velvety leaves, palmate with three lobes. Light pink flowers to 10" diameter in late summer. Native to wetlands and needs moisture.

History: 

Published in Fl. Bor.-Amer. (Michaux) 2: 46 in 1803.

Discovered in Georgia and Florida by Michaux.

I was given a cutting by a friend in 2013. I overwintered it in the conservatory and then planted it in the Around The Pool garden.
