Description: 

Heart-shaped leaves, dark glossy green, twisted tips, to 10" long and 8" wide. Blue flowers in spring. Comes true from seed unlike other hostas.

Cultivars: 

'Aureomarginata' - 30"tall. Large ribbed leaves with yellow to white margins. Violet-blue flowers on tall stems.

History: 

Published in Gard. Chron., ser. 3 90: 27 in 1931.
