Description: 

Prefers afternoon shade for best color. Leaves the same shape as the species, spiny, but with cream to yellow gold margins. Irregular habit. Female. New growth may have a purple tinge.

History: 

Named for Otto spring, of Otto Spring Nursery and Greenhouse, Okmulgee, Oaklahoma. Sport of Ilex cornuta 'Rotunda'.

I purchased a 1-gallon plant at Nurseries Caroliniana in April 2012 and potted it up, planting it in the One Of Everything garden in July 2012.
