Description: 

White flowers with streaks of pink in spring. New growth glossy purple-black fading to dark green with a pale chartreuse center. Several flushes in the season. Moist, well-drained soil. Filtered shade or morning sun and afternoon shade.

History: 

Also known as 'Koshuan' and 'Kumson'. From Mr. Yamaguchi of Yamaguchi Rare Plants in Japan. Murasaki no Sato - means "purple village".

My Experience: 

I purchased a 1-gallon plant from Nurseries Caroliniana in October 2014 and planted it in the Wild Or Wacky garden.
